Anandam community celebrated Father’s Day in a unique way
Haridwar.
Today, on the occasion of International Father’s Day, people of Anandam community celebrated Father’s Day in a unique way at a local hotel in Shivalik Nagar. In which songs, praises, plays, dance dramas dedicated to fathers and people were made aware of the values that connect the society. In this unique Anandam program, children from 13 years to elderly people of 80 years and above participated. While the children presented songs and dances dedicated to their father, the 80-year-old organizer couple Mrs. Rita and Shyamsunder Awasthi won everyone’s heart with their humorous and satirical tone and made everyone laugh. The main organizers of the program were Rajendra Kumar Agarwal, Rita Awasthi and Shyamsunder Awasthi. The main organizers of the program, Awasthi couple and Rajendra Kumar Agarwal say that this year is our first attempt to celebrate Father’s Day and next year we will make a better effort and celebrate this program in a big way and connect various dignitaries required in the society with this program.

The program was jointly conducted by Mrs. Neeta Nair and Rita Awasthi.
While the younger generation learnt from their elders through dance dramas based on their life experiences, the senior citizens preserved the happy moments of their past in the form of songs. Songs of former Haridwar Police Officer CO JP Juyal ‘Kahi baar yun hi dekha hai jeevan ki yeh rakhe hai’, Shri Ram Verma ‘Kahin door jab din dhal jaaye’, and NK Raju’s ‘Dulha bikta hai’ were appreciated by all.

Neeta Nayyar and Rita Avasthi’s comedy play Pati ka Murabba entertained everyone. The program started with Ganesh Vandana sung by Dr. Shweta Saran, music professor at Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Kankhal and ended with Shiv Vandana by journalist, thinker, philosopher and writer Dr. Radhika Nagrath.
Renu Gupta, Kumkum, Aashiya Sharma, Ranjana Sharma, Meenakshi Chawla, Poonam, Anjali Kamini etc. gave their presentations and received a lot of applause from the audience. On this occasion, Jyoti Bhatt displayed Kumaoni folk art ‘Aipan’ and Manisha Singh displayed her paintings, which were appreciated by all. At the beginning of the program, all the young men and women and children showered flowers on the elderly and welcomed them. The program was very lively and we did not even realize when two and a half hours passed. Anandam community’s first unique and special attempt to celebrate Father’s Day in Haridwar was a great success.
