977 units of blood donated in Akams Foundation’s blood donation campaign

Haridwar. Furthering its commitment to social responsibility and human service, the Akams Foundation successfully concluded a massive six-day voluntary blood donation campaign organized at various Akams Group plants. Employees and officers enthusiastically participated in the campaign, donating a total of 977 units. The collected blood will be used by various hospitals and blood banks for the treatment of needy patients and for lifesaving emergencies.The mega campaign was inaugurated by lighting a lamp by Managing Director of Ekams Group, Mr. Sandeep Jain, Secretary of Akams Foundation, Mrs. Archana Jain, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. R.K. Singh, representatives of partner medical institutions and senior officials of Akams Group.Ekams Foundation (working in the fields of education, health, environmental protection, women empowerment, skill development and community development) has been organizing voluntary blood donation camps continuously for the last 16 years. During this period, the Foundation has collected thousands of units of blood and made a significant contribution in saving the lives of countless needy patients. This year, blood donation camps were organized at various plants of Ekams Group in collaboration with Graphic Era Hospital, Mahant Indresh Hospital, Himalayan Hospital, AIIMS Rishikesh, Doon Hospital Blood Bank, Government District Hospital (Government Blood Bank), Haridwar and other recognized blood banks and the Health Department.Mr. Sandeep Jain, Managing Director of the Akams Group, personally donated blood to inspire employees and officers and encourage all voluntary donors. He said, “Blood donation is not just a social act, but the greatest service to humanity. One unit of blood has the potential to give a new life to someone in need. The Akams Group has always prioritized its responsibilities to society and will continue such public welfare campaigns in the future.”Archana Jain, Secretary of the Akams Foundation, honored the blood donors by presenting them with certificates and mementos. She said, “Blood donation is the ultimate example of dedication to humanity. Every capable person should join such campaigns to bring about positive change in society.”On this occasion, Jagannathan, Satya Prakash, Yuvraj Dutta, K.D. Sharma, Samandar Singh, Dr. Sarvjeet Singh, Dr. Rajkumar, Sanjay Singh, Sanjay Sinha, Anoop Duklan, Umesh Chandra Pandey, Vinod Singh, Pranavi, Alok Tripathi, Aditi, Megha, Ishant and Rithika along with many other officers and employees played an active role in the successful organization of the campaign. At the end of the campaign, Ekams Foundation expressed its gratitude to all the voluntary blood donors, partner hospitals, blood banks, doctors, health department and all the officers and employees associated with the event and reiterated its resolve to continue such campaigns for social welfare and public good in the future as well
