Small and medium scale industries based on women’s awareness and empowerment organized a program in SIDCUL, Haridwar.

A grand program was organized for women’s awareness and empowerment at Hyphen Hotel in Sidcul under the joint aegis of MSME and FICCI FLO. Under this program, information about welfare schemes run by the government for setting up small and medium industries was prominently given. The program was organized by Mrs. Archana Jain, President of Ekms Health and Education Society and Mrs. Mansi Virmani, President of Pharma Hub.

Newly elected President of MSME Uttarakhand Sant Shri Balak Das Ji was the Chief Guest of the program and Deputy Vice Chairman of MSME Uttarakhand Mahamandaleshwar Swami Santoshanand Dev Maharaj graced the program as the Chief Guest.
The program was conducted by Dr. Radhika Nagarath.
The program started with lighting of lamps by the members of FICCI FLO and MSME. Also, a small girl Kumari Neeti Jain presented a beautiful dance on Ganesh Stuti. SIDCUL Manufacturers Association President Dr. Harendra Garg and Executive President Mahendra Ahuja and Ashish Virmani greeted all the guests by garlanding them and girl Neeti Jain honored all the special guests by applying Tilak on them.

Mrs. Archana Jain, Chairperson of Ekams Health & Education Society, greeted all the distinguished guests warmly and while addressing the gathering said, “This programme, organised for the awareness of women, will not only show working women new avenues of employment and progress, but will also play an important role in the increasing empowerment of women in the society.”

Chief guest Sant Shri Balak Das, while highlighting the importance of the program, said that the government uses about 82 percent of the budget allocated for MSMEs as subsidy, women can directly use this to start or expand their enterprise. As an example, he said that 128 products are being made from the Panchagavya of cow and are being launched in the market and the MSME organization always provides assistance for the sale of all these.

Mahamandaleshwar Swami Santoshanand Dev Maharaj, Deputy Vice Chairman of Uttarakhand MSME, who came as a special guest, also inspired women for self-employment. Women from the industry of Haridwar, educationists, doctors and representatives of social organizations were present in the program.

The program concluded with the vote of thanks by Mrs. Manasi Virmani, who strongly advocated for promoting women’s awareness and said, “This program has a special place for entrepreneurial women. The information provided in this program will prove to be very useful in setting up and expanding women’s enterprises.”

Special guest and coordinator of the program, Yogacharya Dr. Urmila Pandey, President, MSME Haridwar, while encouraging all the sisters, said that even a micro level business started with positive thinking transforms into a huge one. Dr. Pandey said that today the oriental knowledge of Yoga, established on the world stage, has become a part of modern education, and for the solution of various physical and mental problems, various wellness centers are being established as businesses, they should also be linked with MSME. We can use the available facilities and employment schemes by knowing our potential.

Mrs. Charu Chauhan, President, FICCI FLO Uttarakhand urged the women to “inspire other women around them to set up small industries and play an active role in strengthening their hands by informing them about the government loan facility and other benefits.”

Special guests at the programme included Mrs. Mona Verma, renowned author and motivational speaker, Mrs. Manu Shivpuri, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Ambassador – Uttarakhand, Dr. Anu Luthra, Mrs. Jyoti Sharma, Mrs. Neha Malik – Muskaan Foundation, Haridwar Elite Women’s Group and Mrs. Manjula Bhagat, Mrs. Jyotsna Mehrotra, Mrs. Karuna Sharma, Mrs. Dolly, Mrs. Tina Ghai, Mrs. Monika, Mrs. Uma Pandey, Mrs. Neeru Jain etc. of Jagriti Women’s Conference. The programme concluded with refreshments.

The event was particularly successful and as it was organised to encourage women, women participated enthusiastically and also inspired everyone.
